Imam Ali [as] said: “If man perceived his death and its speed towards him, he would certainly detest the world and its hopes.”[i]

The Holy Prophet [s] said: “The person for whom lust and vice is readily available but he avoids them for the fear of Allah, Almighty and Glorious, He will bar the Fire for him and ensure him against the Great Fear”[i]

Imam Hassan ibn Ali [as] said: “I wonder about the person who contemplates about his nutrition but he does not consider (the food of) his intellect. Thus, he avoids of what hurts him in his stomach but he lets his mind to be filled with what destroys him.”[i]
