Imam Ali (as) said “Unfortunate is he who cannot gain a few sincere friends during his life and more unfortunate is the one who has gained them and then lost them (through his deeds).”[i]

Imam Sadiq [as] addressed a group of people and inquired why they annoyed the Messenger of Allah. Someone asked Imam how they did so, and he said: “Do you not know that your deeds are reported to him [the prophet]? When he observes a sin against Allah among them, he becomes displeased. Therefore do not hurt the Messenger of Allah, but make him pleased.”[i]
