Grandson of Malcolm X murdered in Mexico

Very sad to hear of the murder of my friend and brother Malcolm, grandson of the late Malcolm X. I have confirmed reports from other close friends of his that he was murdered today 5/9/13  in Mexico. After calling around i learned that Brother Hajj Malcolm El Shabazz text 5 people i know last night. I am in shock about the whole situation.

Last time i saw Malcolm was when we all drove from DC to Dearborn in July for a conference. He was telling me about his time at the howza studying at the shrine of Lady Zaynab (as). He was trying to go to Qum, Iran recently to continue his howza studies, but was denied to board his flight. He was a follower of Prophet (sawa) and his Family (as). This is a terrible loss for us all.

May Allah have mercy on him. Please recite a surah Fatiha and salawat for his soul. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun May Allah bless his soul and unite him with the master of the martyrs Imam Hussain (as)!

Reminds me of the verses of the Quran that say to Protect the churches, synagogues and mosques

“God defends the believers but He does not love any of the treacherous, ungrateful ones. Permission to take up arms is hereby granted to those who are attacked; they have suffered injustice. God has all the power to give victory to those who were unjustly expelled from their homes only because they said, “God is our Lord.” Had it not been for God’s repelling some people through the might of the others, the monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which God is very often worshipped would have been utterly destroyed. God shall certainly help those who help Him. He is All-powerful and Majestic. He will certainly help those who, if given power in the land, will worship God through prayer, pay the poor-due, enjoin others to do good, and prevent them from committing evil. The end result of all affairs is with God. (The Pilgrimage 22: 38 – 41)”

Remember, that God also says in the Quran that if a person, irrespective of their faith, is not hostile to Islam then we should treat them justly.

“God does not forbid you respecting those who have not made war against you on account of (your) religion, and have not driven you forth from your homes, that you show them kindness and deal with them justly; surely God loves the doers of justice. God only forbids you respecting those who made war upon you on account of (your) religion, and drove you forth from your homes and backed up (others) in your expulsion, that you make friends with them, and whoever makes friends with them, these are the unjust.”

“Muawiya sent word to Jo’dah bint Ash’ath, the wife of Hasan, that if she would kill her husband, he would pay her 100,000 dirhems, and would marry his son, Yazid, to her.”

Muawiya awakened in Jo’dah the ambition to become a queen, and when he sent the poison to her, as it was arranged between them, she administered it to her husband, and he died from it. Muawiya rewarded her by paying 100,000 dirhems, but backed out of his promise to marry her to Yazid by saying: “I love my son.”

Abu’l-Faraj Ispahani in his Maqatilu’t-Talibin, Ibn Abdu’l-Bar in his Isti’ab, Mas’udi in his Isbatu’l- Wasiyya, and many other ulema have reported that Asma Ju’da, by order and promise of Mu’awiya, gave poison to Abu Muhammad Hasan Ibn Ali. Ibn Abdu’l-Bar and Muhammad Bin Jarir Tabari have also reported that when Mu’awiya was informed of the demise of the Holy Imam, he shouted the takbir (Allah is Great).
